Having attuned to the Stone of Golorr, Beef has a series a of visions. They need the Eye Stalk of a Beholder, a beardless Dwarf and the rendition of the Dwarven love ballad "Your Beardy Face" in order to unlock the location of the treasure hoard.
The party stock up on weapons and supplies before heading to the Yawning Portal in search of a beardless Dwarf. Beef suggests that they don't need a beardless dwarf as he can just cast a spell to appear as such. Sadly that theory later turns out to be false and they return to the YP to request the services of a female Dwarf who can decipher the runes on the entrance to the vault. They then return to the sewers to retrieve the Eye Stalk of a Beholder where two of them are overcome by the stench and Finn is covered in vomit thanks to Farraine directing it in his direction.
After a bath and change of clothing, the group then determines that they need to head to a Theater in castle Ward called Pink Flumph. They manage to convince both the owner and theatre staff thst they are part of the crew before they eventually discover the hidden entrance.
After a short descent, they find the vault doors from Beef's vision and Beef gives his first heartfelt rendition of "Your Beardy Face" all to no avail. The vault doors remain closed.
Returning to the Yawning Portal, our plucky heroes manage to convince Yathra, a female Dwarf to accompany them in order to read the inscription on the vault doors, but not before Finn attempts to flirt with her and she regards him with an amused smile remarking that she'd snap him in two. He recovers his composure somewhat and asks her if that's a promise, but she's already taken the gold and is walking out.
Beef once again gives a fine rendition of the Dwarven love ballad, holding aloft a somewhat rotten Beholder eye-stalk and in the presence of a beardless dwarf..
With the three criteria met, the doors swing open and the party enters the vault. Yathra takes her leave and the group moves inside only to be confounded by numerous fake doors.
Eventually, they find the "real" doors that Finn maintains was due to his puzzle solving logic and definitely not due to the possibility of having tried all the fake doors first. They make their way to an upper level where they encounter yet more cunning Dwarven traps and make some dangerous leaps in order to access parts of the vault.
Thanks to Farraine's sharp vision, they recover a good amount of treasure from a hidden room. One of the rooms across the chasm bore indecipherable Dwarven runes which the group agrees that once again, they require the services of a Dwarf to decipher. Finn sends Binky back to the Yawning Portal in search or Yathra. Together they return to the Vault.
And finally, the group find themselves in a room with a forge and an anvil. Finn notices an anomaly in one of the depictions on the wall and uses the Mage Hand spell to retrieve a smithing hammer which now rests in Farraine's hand.
Here is the full song.. Your Beardy Face, composed by ChatGPT and performed by Beef.
In a tavern dimly lit, where ale and laughter flow,
I saw your beardy face, like mountains topped with snow.
Your axe upon your back, a warrior strong and true,
My heart began to dance, for it found its home in you.
With every swing you take, my heart skips a beat,
Your battle cries resound, a melody so sweet.
Through battles fought as one, we face the darkest night,
Our love, a blazing forge, a beacon shining bright.
With every quest we take, our love grows ever strong,
Hand in hand we wander, where ancient tales belong.
Through trials we endure, our bond forever binds,
In tales of adventure, our love, it always shines.
So let the bards sing loud, of our tale so rare,
Of a love that blossomed, it is beyond compare.
In this world of ours, our love will find its place,
Forever in my heart, your beardy little face.
